−Is using AI possible in a GDPR-compliant way?
Yes — with the right architecture. The key elements are: a data processing agreement (DPA) with the AI provider, data minimisation (only send the data that is needed), EU hosting or locally run open-source models for sensitive data, and clear internal policies. For Switzerland the revised Data Protection Act (revDSG) applies analogously; as an EEA member, Liechtenstein applies the GDPR. This exact trade-off is part of every project.
+What does the EU AI Act mean for my company?
The EU AI Act has been in force since August 2024 and applies in stages: bans on certain practices and the duty to build AI literacy in the team have applied since February 2025, rules for foundation models since August 2025, and most remaining obligations from August 2026. The good news: typical business automation (invoices, support, reporting) almost always falls into the minimal-risk class — mainly transparency obligations apply. I assess the classification for your specific use case.
+What does an automation project cost?
Honestly, it depends on the scope — a single n8n workflow is different from an AI agent with ERP integration. That is why I always start with a free initial analysis: afterwards you receive a transparent quote with a clear scope and the expected time savings before you commit.
+How long does implementation take?
Simple workflows (e.g. capturing and filing receipts automatically) are often productive within a few days. More extensive projects with several systems or custom AI agents typically take a few weeks. I work iteratively with regular demos — you see working interim results from the start.
+Does my team need to know how to code?
No. Tools like n8n and Make are visually operated, and every solution is handed over documented. On request I train your team so it can make simple adjustments itself — for everything else there is optional ongoing support.
+Will automation replace my employees?
In practice, no — it replaces the tasks nobody enjoys: retyping data, matching receipts, answering standard e-mails. The time gained flows into tasks that require judgement and customer contact. Experience shows: teams embrace automation as soon as it noticeably eases their own day.
